The First Anglican wedding in Squamish was held at the original church building of St. John the Divine in downtown Squamish in the fall of 1914. Mr. Frank Buckley and Miss Doris Galbraith were married by The Reverend Charles Hoyle. In commemorating this historic event, Mr. Mark Armstrong sketched this drawing of the two newlyweds outside of St. John the Divine.
Today, many young couples choose the Sea to Sky Corridor as a beautiful back drop for their special day. This little piece of heaven can offer a traditional church wedding, idyllic garden wedding, waterfront wedding or a mountain top wedding, high above the spectacular views of Howe Sound or even a little piece of each. Our church offers space for up to 180 guests with spectacular cathedrals ceilings and lots of natural lighting.
